Hardwood backgammon is better...

When I was a child I loved to play Spades when I went home and would be with my family during the holidays. But this game is completely different from what I remember the rules. So personally I foundthis game horrible to play. It wasn't fun.

1./ Spades are Trumps
2./ Spades give points
3./ Too many spades hurt overall.
5./ Play the highest card of that suit to win the hand
6./ Try to guess the hands you will win that round

The game I remember playing was that each spade card had a negative impact. an ace being -1 and the king being -13. But the queen of spades being the worst. We would count the scores and play as many rounds till we got bored. This seemed like a sensible way to play.

This game is completey different way of playing because the logic behind what cards you keep and throw is switched and the tactics have changed. Personally I got a headache from learning the new rules. But I imagine if you are used to playing this way you can bump my rating up one and enjoy playing online, single player and a nice smooth background and graphics engine. Pleasant, appealing, and quite fun.

Like I said I found backgammon more fun, because it was less complicated (marginallly) and thats why I rated that game high.
