Slow at first, but gets to be addicting!!
Gameplay: 9/10 Eventhough the game starts of kind of slow, the game picks up speed to keep you wanting to play more and more. After you have chosen the girl you want as your wife, your true journey starts off. Along the way, you have to manage your farm by either raising animals, growing crops, or both. The many citizens in the game are great to make friends with, and some even offer some helpful hints. Overall the gameplay is fun, and it keeps you satisfied.
Graphics: 9/10 The graphics are not bad, especially for the Nintendo 64. Besides, in order to grow crops and raise animals, you do not need to have the most detail. Overall the graphics are fine, and it adds to the gameplay.
Sound: 8/10 Well there is not to much to say here. The sound is not bad at all. However, the music can get annoying sometimes. Every season has its own theme, and there is the certain sound effects for night time, rain, and whatever might need sound effects. Overall, the sound is a fine part of Harvest Moon 64.
Replay: 10/10 This game is great for replay. You can always start a new game with a different girl to try and get to become your wife. You may even decide to raise animals than grow crops, or visa versa. There are certain secrets in the game that you might have missed, and you have to start over to get them in some cases.
Conclusion: The rating turns out to be a 9/10. Harvest Moon 64 is a great game. It can get quite addicting in some cases, and it was worth my money. Everything from the gameplay to the sound adds to the great gaming experience. I enjoyed the game, and I hope you will or have.
