A great addition to the Harvest Moon series, and a great place to start playing.

First of all, Harvest Moon is not for everyone, and that's obvious. If you didn't like Animal Crossing or the Sims, likely you won't like HM, but it's much more fun than it sounds. Even if it's a farming sim, it's horribly addictive. You'll find yourself playing for hours, and it can take over your life. Even though you're doing the same basic chores every day, somehow it remains entertaining, and soon you'll want to experience everything the game has to offer, even marrige. The characters are surprisingly interesting, not as deep as in Back to Nature, but still interesting enough to talk to. The graphics aren't winning any awards though, they are simplistic and buildings fold away into infinity when you walk past them. The music can also be grating at times, because you'll be hearing the same tunes all the time. Overall it's fun and addicting, if you haven't played HM before, this is a good place to start, simply because there's little to no difficulty in this game, and it's a simple fun excursion for all times.
