Introduction: Before you start flaming me I'd like to say that I generally have been a fan of the Harvest Moon games since the days of the N64 but there isn't really anything on this disc thats worth another purchase. All this game adds to the Harvest Moon formula is the ability to play as a female with male suitors instead of playing as a male with female suitors. Again this game has no reason to exist. What they could easily have done is when you start a new game give you the choice to play as a male or a female but no they charged us 20 dollars to play as a male and 30 to play as a female. So if you bought A Wonderfull Life and wanted more of that style of game then don't buy this game play A Wonderfull Life some more and if you're a newcomer to this series then buy A Wonderfull Life because it's cheaper and exactly the same. Graphics: 7/10 Much like a lot of the rest of the game the graphics in Another Wonderfull Life hold up reasonably well. In typical harvest moon fashion they are bright and colorfull and very inviting and easy on the eyes. The character models and environments aren't made up of the most polygons in the business but everything looks nice. There are some minor loading issues and the worlds are rather small but except for the dated feel to them there isn't that much to complain about with the graphics. Sound: 6/10 The sound while competent isn't really anything to smile about. The dialogue is not recorded. Instead the noise you get is way too loud and annoying. The rest of the audio isn't that great either the soundtrack is in MIDI chip so it doesnt sound good at all and the effects are way too generic and get repetive fast. Gameplay: 8/10 The gameplay is the single best componet in Another Wonderfull Life you start off as a young girl who inherits a farm and go off to make it a success just like in all the other harvest moon games. Of course you also have to go off into town and find a husband by catering to his wants and needs first. The micromanagment between your spouse and your farm can start to get pretty addictive but the good mechanics of the gameplay are offset by a few negatives. First off there are only 3 husbands to choose from and several people on the message boards are complaining that the only baby you get is a boy. While the boy is usefull on the farm it may have been a nice twist if you could have had a girl. Maybe even letting players have more then 1 child and live life the way they wanted to. The game is partly listed as and RPG and the role playing elements are light at best. Now let me talk about value because that is a huge factor in how I scored the game. I gave value a 1 because what they should have done is released 1 game and let you choose between a male and female character. Also I think character customization would be a nice feature to have. Even if you are new to the series you shouldn't buy this game because A Wonderfull Life is cheaper and exactly the same. Conclusion: There really wasn't a reason for this game to exist and there is really nobody that should buy it. Is playing the same game only as a female worth another 30 dollars to you. I'm glad I rented this one so if you have A Wonderfull Life or if you want to play it again then put A Wonderfull Life in again. There really isn't any reason for this disc to exist nor is there any reason for you to buy it so save your 30 dollars and buy yourself a game for your DS.
