Victim of its own hype
The story itself sounds like something from an cliche action movie from the 1980s you start off working as a Mantel solider named Shane Carpenter who at start questioning Mantel purposes then after a few missions Mantel thinks Shane turned rogue and go after him in the swamp escape mission. But you're saved by the very same people you spent a earlier part of the game killing, once you joined with the rebels you begin to learn the truth about both sides and you can guess the rest of the story.
Sounds wasn't that bad firing guns, blowing things up and hearing the Mantel solider go trippy after you give them an Nectar overdose is pretty cool. The problem from the audio department is the recycle dialogue when I joined with the rebels the phrase I kept hearing over and over again was "Remember your promise to Merino" and when you're a Mantel the guys around you sound like they fresh out of "Yee Haw" and Shane Carpenter voice sounds different from the in game play to the actual cut scenes.
Graphics: I have to agree it's blend at best most Mantel soldiers look alike with the exceptions with the special type of Mantel soldiers and there's little difference with the rebels. Some backgrounds look ok.
Gameplay: Alright the AI won't react to your actions, it will pop up shoot at you and run for cover. Or in some cases run right up to you. Your AI teammates help but not a great deal they give you cover fire and help you out. But they also leave themselves open to get killed.
With that said the game is still pretty fun to play and considering you can find this game for little to nothing on the internet it's a worthwhile investment.
