Hearthstone is a wonderfully colorful game with a lot of Warcraft flair. The game plays fast and runs well with no bugs that I have seen.
Is it a perfect game? Hell No! Why? simple, it is completely unbalanced and the ranking system is a joke.
I have played a game from level 25 to rank 20. in that, i have played many players who have been ranked higher then I who just cleaned the floor with me. As a level 25 I have even got "matched up" with a 17 player who beat me in 5 minutes. Never have I played someone who is of lower ranking then I. This needs to get fixed before i can recommend anyone new to play this game.
In order to really compete you have to buy cards, and a lot of them in order to get the legendary cards you see. You can play ageist AI but you do not get credit for quests and you then can't get the much needed gold. Well why not craft them? most common cards give you 5 points towards a 1600 point total you need for the legendary cards. that is disenchanting 320 common cards before you can craft something powerful.
I know there is the Arena but unfortunately you have to win matches to complete quests for gold, or spend real money. So in order to really play the game Blizzard has made this into a really well thought out money sink and while the game is enjoyable to an extent. Without a solid way from new players to meet up and feel out the game without spending money, I can not recommend playing this game.
I am sure Warcraft and Blizzard fans will still play and enjoy it and that is fine. But for me, this game does a disservice to anyone who is not a fan already.
