This is game is not for beginners!
Paradox veterans should get the hang of it quite easily but for newbies, this games learning curve is crazy hard and with a pathetic and lacking tutorial that prepares you for nothing you will be repelled away. However there is a huge in-depth manual that you can find on the web.
When you finally learn to appreciate it's beauty after you figure out the basics and send your divisions to fight battles you will be faced with bug after bug. And with every new patch more bugs arrive like the dreaded problem of your ships becoming immobile and useless for the rest of the game.
This game has average graphics. Why should it have good graphics, after all It's not an FPS and it gets the job done quite nicely.
One of this games most horrid problems is the unbelievable amount of chug in the game, It literally freezes up every 5 seconds. You won't realize this at the beginning of the game because it happens when the action gets heated or when you try to move your units en-masse. This problem makes the game unplayable and brings even the most modern gaming rigs to it's knees.
The interface is detailed and informative with hundreds of buttons and instructions all organized neatly. Like the
Game spot review this game has many typos and small problems that take away from the general experience.
Overall this game gets a 7. Not what i expected from legendary strategy makers like Paradox. So if your up for a challenge and have a PC with a lot of memory i bid you to have a try, just don't cry when you struggle to maintain your complicated economy!!!

Paradox has released a number of patches that completely fix the games lag and imbalances, therefore i am raising the score to a juicy 8.5.
