This is a great game (if you want to call it that) but it does have its share of flaws.
So now to talk about the story, it's outstanding and stands out just like the music does its outstanding truly phenomenal even though sometimes It can feel like the gameplay is not on par with it however, it truly makes this game great, first off you play up to 5 characters. First off Ethan's Mar's his main objective is to save his son, in any way possible, he already lost his first son who got hit by a car and now he doesn't want to lose his other son, and they set his part of the story so perfect because I think most people do think how much would they go through to save the one they love and his part of the story sums it up perfect. His part of the story is perfect, you must crawl through glass, go through electric wiring, cut off your finger, kill someone, and you really feel like you are in his shoes and this part of the story is just amazing and may be the best in the game.
Scott Shelby is another person you play as he goes through the game asking people about the Origami killer and ends up meeting with a women named Lauren Winter, who ends up almost killing herself due to her husband leaving her and losing one of her kids to the origami Killer, this is another great part of the game Scott seems to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time, there are so many missions where people are trying to kill you and you must fight them off, overall it's always fun to play his missions. (Spoiler Alert) There is one thing I would have never guessed in this game, and if you have beaten this game you know what I am talking about. This whole timeā¦ you have been playing as the killer, yes Scott Shelby is the origami killer, the only reason he was helping people like Lauren Wood, to find the killer was to get rid of the evidence he left behind, the way they did this was outstanding in every way, I honestly had no clue it would be Scott I thought it could be anyone but I never thought it would be him, and his transition to being evil is perfectly believable too they did perfect when it came to this part of the story.
Norman Jayden is another person you will take control of during this game, he is a Fbi detective, that is also looking for the Origami killer, he uses a fictional drug called triptoptocaine to help him(cheat) through the investigation playing as him was my least favorite part of this game, he just never really had that great of parts and I hated when you had to go back and look at your clues in that virtual reality place, I just found it tedious as all hell, as you get to the end you will end up fighting the origami killer, and this part staled the ending for me, you are fighting atop a conveyor belt, so I missed two quicktime events due to the controls being so sensitive and it doesn't help that throughout the game the quicktime events can be hard to see because they are small and can be hidden by an object in the game sometimes, so it ended up killing my character at the end I already got him to the end but because I missed two quicktime events due to faulty control I end up losing one of my characters in the end what a **** stain at the end of what could be a perfect ending to a game. I could understand if they gave you more of a chance like they did in some of the other parts of the game, but no you miss two quicktime events screw you your dead.
Madison Paige is another person you will play as, she will help Ethan sometimes, and sometimes she will be on her own, her mission are really good, the doctor is a really entertaining part, and when you have to escape from a house which is on fire, it's also really entertaining too Just another character that is a great addition to the characters.
Overall if you are not a big fan of quicktime event's then you shouldn't get this game but if you want to go through an amazing story beginning to end, with some decent gameplay in it this is a must play, while the gameplay isn't that great in my eyes, the story is flawless one of the best I have ever been through in a game and that's what makes this game so special, if you are willing to forgive the faulty controls this game is an amazing game, worth playing over and over again.
