An innovative game that immerses you in to the story and leaves you wondering "What if?".

User Rating: 9.5 | Heavy Rain PS3
I had downloaded and played the demo of Heavy Rain and immediately thought, this game is for me. The demo was only 2 chapters long, but the immersiveness of it and the mental, conversational and physical challenges you encounter in that short space of time was incredible. The graphics were awesome too, but what made me realise I wanted to get this game is when I got in to work the next morning and asked my friend who had also played the demo what he did; it was totally different. The actions varied slightly, but the endings varied alot.

So on to the game itself. The story is a well worked and well thought out one that leaves you agasp at times. There are many challenges from the simple to the inhumane and it is these that make the game what it is. There are many ways of playing this and many routes to take throughout the game.

You will, in every chapter, take control of at least one of the 4 main characters who are, an FBI Investigator, a Journalist, an Architecht/Father and a Private Investigator. Your actions throughout each chapter will determine where you will get and all this presented in stunning graphics leaves you feeling like you really are part of it.

There are 3 difficulty settings for the buttons which means if your mum fancied a go she could as it really is not that hard.

The story itself does seem a little short - but please bear in mind, to get through the story at a steady pace is about 6-8 hours worth of play - but I suppose this is down to the face that their are trophies to be acheived and these trophies include seeing every one of the 18 endings that are available.

I believe it is a game that will appeal to most but will certainly not appeal to those who are only interested in the hard action shooters or fighting games. This requires a mind and it requires patience.

I enjoyed it alot and I hope you will too.
