"Innovative experience that will have you on the edge of your seat!"
Graphics- 10.0. Very rarely would I give a game a 10 in this category. The only other games that come to mind would be: Metal Gear Solid 4, and MLB 10: The show. The graphics in this game are simply amazing. The characters look fantastic. Everything from wrinkles, to facial expressions, all the way to blood in the eyes can be seen vividly in this game. The environments are beautiful, but the characters are where this game shines. I cannot stress how real they look. By far the best character design I have ever seen in a game. The facial expressions are a bit exaggerated at times, but other than that, they are nearly perfect.
Gameplay--10.0 This game is an interactive drama. You move your characters around using the R2 button, and you play as four different, yet related characters as the story progresses. You control each character at different points of the story. The gameplay progresses in terms of active time sequences where you have to push buttons in order to progress the plot line. These sequences often involve life and death situations such as fights and chase scenes. They are so intense your heart will beat out of your chest with anticipation. HOWEVER, the best part about this is that there IS NOT GAME OVER. If your character dies, he/she dies. The story progresses based on your actions. This is incredible. As far as I was told there are 22 ways this game can end! It is up to you how that happens.
Storyline: 10.0. The story consists of four characters: Ethan is the main character who has his son kidnapped by the "oragmi killer," a serial killer who kidnaps children and places them in water to be drowned by the rain. (In this town it rains for days at a time) Ethan has to solve riddles in order to save his son. This reminds me a bit of "Saw" at times. You also play as a private I, an FBI agent, and a photo journalist. All the characters connect as the plot unfolds, and they are all trying to solve the murders of the infamous oragami killer. The story is EXTREMELY intense and at times it is very gruesome. I would NOT recommend this game to children or teenagers. Some of the decisions you have to make are very controversial. Yet you REALLY feel engrossed into this story. I have never been so wrapped up in a story before.
Sound- 9.5. The music isn't the biggest factor in this game, but during the chase/fight scenes the music really shines. It makes you feel the dread that each character faces. Also, when you play as the main character, the music really matches the depression he faces.
Replay Value-- 9.5. Again, 22 potential endings. I am positive I will go back and replay this game again. The only downfall is that it is not very long. I believe it is about 8-10 hours. However, these hours are intense and gratifying. You will appreciate this game.
Overall 9.7. This is one of the best games I have played in a LONG time.
