Never Have I ever Cared so much about the way a story turns out than in Heavy Rain

User Rating: 9.5 | Heavy Rain PS3
Two questions are asked in Heavy Rain. How far are you prepared to go to save someone you love AND how far are you prepared to go to save someone you barely know. The first of the two is directed to Ethan Mars an architect who married, lives with his two sons Jason and Shaun. Mars lives a very happy life until one day tragedy strikes when Jason is killed in a car accident and Ethan placed in 6 month coma. After awaking his life has fallen to pieces. He is know divorced and Shaun is very distant. Ethan also suffers from blackouts that occur at the oddest times. 2 years later while at the park with Shaun Ethan suffers a Blackout and when he comes too Shaun is missing. Mars then realized Shaun has been kidnapped by the origami killer who kidnaps young boys and drowns them then dumping them on a wasteland. He is then sent "trials" that he must complete to save his son or else it could mean Jason won't be alone wherever he is.......oh yes and the other characters fit into the story neatly and sub plots are never really included with them. There's drug addict FBI profiller Norman Jayden who is eventually assigned to the Shaun Mars disappearance. Madison Paige a journalist who later befriends Ethan helping him as much as she can and last but not least Private Eye Scott Shelby also investigating the Origami Killer. Yes they're are plot holes here and explanations could sometimes go deeper than they do but this wont spoil the experience at all.
Heavy Rain gameplay is very unique as is the controls. Most of the time you'll be making movements with the right stick to open doors to throwing a lamp at a guys head. Six axis is here as well mostly vehicle controls and sometimes very complicated button presses. Some say this game is a big quick time event but there is no restart. failing a button press can result in a character death and they stay dead through out the game which ultimately affects one of the games multiple endings.
Problems ? a few but what game doesn't sometimes the movement controls are not precise, some dull graphics and frame rate drops here and there but you can easily get pass this just because of the amazing story which will take you about 15 hours to complete or shorter if you rush though you shouldn't because Heavy Rain is one of the best games in my opinion ever made
