Heavy rain is a game that looks like a movie. It's plot twists and characters are well written and fit perfectly with the story. The characters seem like they could be real people with actual pasts. The emotional connections between them will take your breath away as you examine every moment of anger, love and sadness. Your choices impact the game though not as much as other games. What really impacts the game is how well you can execute certain movements during dangerous scenes in the game.
These scenes include fights, running, maneuvering past obstacles and even dancing. During these scenes your heart will race and you will have to make split second decisions during these moments.
It saddens me that when their are close ups on a characters face they have awkward jerking movements that make them look fake even though the graphics in this game are beautiful.
What makes this game even better is the re-playability. The option to do things differently to see what impact they will have. This leads to even more hours of game-play and shows your a different side of the game.
In total this game is a brilliant one as was the game that I would consider to be a precursor, Indigo Prophecy. Both games have explosive emotions and twisting mysterious stories. Both are well worth the money.
