You will love or hate Hector's humor, so that will decide if you like the game. I'm gross and childish, so I like it!

First and foremost, it's important to note that Hector is a port of an iPhone adventure game made by a small shop, not some big studio with lots of resources. As such, it has a fairly simple graphical style, and the sound quality of the voice overs is pretty rough, and most voice overs are by the same 3 or 4 people. The game is really meant to be "minimal" -- this isn't a big budget Telltale affair. It's a quick and dirty game, just like its protagonist, Hector.

The humor is 15 year old humor, through and through. Me, I laughed out loud a few times, because I'm immature and after playing some very bland graphic adventures recently, I was ready for something... erm... childish? But I can see, absolutely, why some folks just didn't bond with this game.

The good:
* If you bond with it, the humor is rude, crude, and funny.
* I personally liked the art style -- again, you'll either find it charming or poor.
* Puzzles are fairly simple, but appropriate for the storyline.
* Voice acting -- yet again, you'll either find them silly and funny and an homage to Python, or you'll think they're terrible...

The not-so-good:
* Very short
* Poor audio quality in the voice recordings

Overall, this is one you'll want to watch some videos for first on YouTube, because you will likely either enjoy or hate this game, and it's very hard to know which before-hand!
