This has been reviewed way to harshly. And I doubt people even played it.
If you like Devil May Cry and you like Hellboy, then you'll like this game. You wont love it but you'll like it. Camera angle and controls are virtually the same as DMC.
The story isn't there which is why I rated it 7.5 other than 8.5. Basically you're Hellboy and you're doing his job which is an investigator for the US's Secret Paranormal Bureau and you go around and take out the Paranormal threats to the world. That's basically it, if you're looking for a game to just get into and play then this is one of many. The Co-Op is a nice touch but really nothing special. It does make the game abnormally difficult by adding random crystals that Hellboy must smash while the other player must fend off the infinite army of "Uglies." I honestly think that this game deserves more credit than it's gotten I mean people prejudged it so much that Konami won't release the DLC necessary to make the last 160 achievement points available. The main thing to know is that this is NOT a Movie Game. It follows nothing that occured in Hellboy 1 or 2. It is it's own game, just because it was released at the same time as the movie doesnt make it a movie game, though most of the time it does, it does not in the case of Hellboy: The Science of Evil.
