Hexic HD is one of the first arcade games for the Xbox 360 and it is a good one. The game was created by the same person who created Tetris, and this is just as good. You play by flipping pieces and making combos with same-colored pieces. As the game goes on, you learn about different combos, bombs, flowers, and the almighty black pearls. What makes the game so hard is that in order to win, you have to at least create a cluster of three black pearls, and most people have trouble making one. There are three modes of play. Marathon mode lets you play with no time limit until you get a cluster or flower of black pearls or you cant get rid of a bomb. Timed mode is marathon mode with a time limit. Survival mode is where the board is filled with pieces and you have to try and clear it. The pieces you don't get rid of stay on the board and are unable to be flipped and have to be removed by combos. The big selling point for this game is that it's free, so why wouldn't you at least try it. The downside to this game is the difficulty of it, even on easy difficulty. Overall, Hexic HD is a solid, free arcade game.
