More like chess than an arcade game, but without the opponent to give it a competitive edge.

The main problem with Hexic is that there's nothing to keep you going - no particular goal (basically you just go as long as you can), or crazy falling blocks like Tetris. If you do nothing, nothing bad happens.

It feels more like chess than an arcade game. The gameplay is actually interesting in an intellectual way - you can see how it gets very complex, with the right moves getting a ton of points and clearing the board if set up perfectly. But there's no real pressure to do so. I was thinking it'd be a lot more fun if there was a competitive mode, with two people competing to get the most points in a given time frame.

Just kinda meh.
