Hexic HD is fun in bursts but it doesn't hook you the way Tetris or even Lumines can. For a free game you simply can not go wrong, there really should be more free games of this quality. One drawback is that it has just three modes Timed, Marathon, and a Survivor mode. They all vary a bit but the main goal is the same, to rotate the pieces and create flower patterns of the same color, and then using the pieces created doing so to make more flowers. The amount of different colors increase as you progress, making the game harder. You also get bombs dropped in randomly and you must use them in a set amount of moves or they will explode and then you lose. Some of the Achievements are next to impossible (making a flower from black pearls is probably something I will never do) while others just require you to play a lot. It is one of those games where you get better as you play and you see things and learn things you wish you knew from the start. All in all it's not a bad way to spend your time but if you're looking to feel like you actually accomplished something in an hour you might want to look elsewhere.
