Something to do when Gears of War isn't so appetizing.
In light of my new addiction I looked for everygame I could find, in light of the most addicting thing being the ability to gain Gamerscore from achieving certain prowess and objectives in games. To think everygame out has some sort of achievement/s to conquer and in turn gaing points to my point count.
Regardless, this whole slew of addiction lead me to Hexic HD. Firstly it looks absolutely amazing on my bigscreen HD TV. Like everygame on the 360, its absolutely radiant on that thing. And while it truly loses the vibrance when put on a non-HD Television, the gameplay still remains.
It has about the same fun factor as any puzzle game that comes from the Tetris line of gaming. Don't expect the replay value of Tetris however. While it is generally addictive it can be tiring and mind numbing after an hour or so, and if you're going for the Achievements, well good luck getting some of them without wanting to commit suicide or genocide in the meantime.
Sound is abismal to be honest. There are very few sound fx that pleased me, and the music is officially turned off on my game. Very few of the tracks I heard could even be called music, it sounded like something you hear in the middle of a thrilling part of a Sci-Fi flick. and while there were e afew shining moments in the tracks, where a nice beat could be heard, it was fleeting and soon you were back in the options turning it down again, as you remembered why you'd turned it off to begin with.
All in all I wouldn't call this game perfect, but in those times of woe where you've just gamed yourself to death with Gears of War and GRAW2, this is a nice way to build your stamina back up in the downtime.
The game itself is generally easy, but if you throw in wanting to finish the Achievements in the game becomes increasingly difficult, so to even this out I gave its difficulty a Just Right, as it could be easy or hard depending on your gamer mentallity going in.
