yeah, i'm color coding my shoes. i'm rearranging food in my fridge...for fun. what have you done to me hexic?!?

hexic is a deceptively simple puzzle game, that can become overtly complicated and challenging as you progress. you spin colored hex pieces in groups to match them up, and make em dissappear for points, ala tetris in a way. so at first glance it doesn't seem overtly original either.

in point of fact i only loaded it up to log one more game on my profile and mebbe snag some cheap achievement points. who knew i would end up liking the game?

i'm from the school of thought that by definition the xbl arcade games are there to waste time on when you either don't have the time for a "real" game or the energy to get back into the deep game that's in the disc drive.

hexic is the first arcade game that made me log over 20 minutes of solid play in a single sitting. it's awesome that the game is free, but truth be told, i would have paid for it. it's that much fun.
