You either like these RPGs or not.
Together you must make your way through 5 different towers filled with monsters and several floors (5-8 usually). You find food and magic potions which work. Gold is also found which can be used to buy food, potions, and tons of other magic items.
The game ends once all four characters are dead, but there's rejuvenation rooms that can bring dead ones back to life. Since the game is in real time you get tired and hungry quick so you must refuel and rest. You also must keep your lantern going so you can see.
This game has a lot of detail and can get very frustrating but yet its cool with all the choices you have, which can make it even more frustrating. These towers contain traps that can turn you around, warp you to other places, tiles that have to be crossed in proper sequence, and even deadly walls rigged with booby traps.
I couldn't get the sound to work on my computer, but I still thought this was a pretty decent game. The graphics aren't wonderful but pretty decent for a 1994 game.
You really have to decide what spells you want to learn when you level up, and there's so many that you have to learn what each does and how much magic it costs.
Basically if liked Towers, you'll like this game.
