3DO's last game to be released, and it is one of the best baseball games ever!

User Rating: 8.8 | High Heat Major League Baseball 2004 PS2
High heat is one of the greatest sports games I have ever played. Yes there are problems with this game, and some are big ones main;y the graphics, but still this game is great. Lets start with the good, this game includes almost every mode out there, franchise, career, season, home-run derby, all-star game, exibition, etc... This game has it all. All teams have there minor league clubs, which is a big plus, and the gameplay has been even more improved with new and better player animations, tighter controls, and one of the best batter/pitcher interfaces ever. Now onto the bad, yes i know this game came out in 2003, so i will go by those baseball games standards at the time. The graphics are bad, not horrible but barely average, even the really bad MLB 2004 has better graphics, although High Heat 2004 gameplay is way better. Also sometimes the hit detection is iffy at times, especially when playing in rookie mode, if lets say a ball is thrown low and u aim somewere in the midle to high area, the game will sometimes give u a hit, even though in the replays you can clearly see the bat never even touched the ball. Overall this game is one of the best baseball games ever. Its a shame 3DO went bankrupt, and that Microsoft bought the High Heat license, but never did anything with it.
