It's not the best truck game around, but it doesn't pretend to be. You should check it out, let me tell you why.
The good stuff:
The graphics are quite simple, but fine. You're located in the middle of a big 3D landscape with medium-quality textures. Nonetheless, they manage to create a beautiful, open and snowy scenario. The truck models are good, but they could be better.
The controls are smooth, and you can adjust their sensibility on the options menu. You can barely feel a difference between the trucks (except for the last one) but that's not a big problem at all.
The bad stuff:
The game is extremely easy. Even if you're not an advanced player, you can unlock all roads and trucks in less than 3 hours. After that, the only challenge remaining is to beat your own records (or your friend's best times). Maybe a single race, multiplayer options or some kind of tournament is the feature this game needs to be a great PSP mini (perhaps 8.5 or higher).
The different stages are all the same: watch that ice ground, watch that curve, watch that truck and that's it. Anyway, the road itself differs from others, and you can even find large tunnels and shortcuts.
So, riding a truck just to 'get over there' may sound a little boring, but this is an exception. Actually, it's a fun small game, ideal for a quick drive, and it gets even funnier when you challenge a friend (on the same PSP, sadly). Of course, it's not the best truck game around, but it doesn't pretend to be.
My advice: give it a shot. Thanks for reading.
