Gameplay really sucks
First off, you get a silent assassin rating for quietly killing a target, and keeping collateral kills at a minimum. This makes receiving a growing arsenal pointless as you go through each level. For the most part you don’t even need to bring weapons along on each mission because they are supplied. And often the weapons that are supplied aren't even conducive to receiving the silent assassin rating. Doesn't seem to me that the strategy of the game was thought out to well. The AI in the game also seems quite odd. At times the enemy’s characters seem incredibly stupid and won't touch you, and then at other times you can't do anything useful to get by them. After a few levels man things get annoying, the voice for the main killer seems unconvincing. The cut scenes aren't that exciting. My wife would come in while I'm playing and say, "Man what a cheesy looking game, why do you continue." Well I guess the answer is I paid for it and I was determined to finish it before moving on.
On a few good notes: the idea of the game is interesting enough. A tormented soul sucked back into a life of crime. But there is really no moral high ground here, since you are killing people for cash. And most of the killing has nothing to do with saving the priest you set out to save. I really liked the idea of putting on disguises to make it past certain points. However, some of the disguises don't look any different then what you are already wearing. And one comes down to a diff color tie? Like what is that? Sorry, but the few good notes have drawbacks.
If I had played this game 20 years ago, I would have thought it was awesome. However there are far better games available now in every genre. This is a lot of hours of my life I won't get back. I could have played Thief 20 more times rather.
Sorry, that is my opinion.
