Hitman: Blood Money is the latest installment in the long running Hitman series which features a bald man wearing a suit assassinating targets. The game is famous for it's violent stealth mechanics but in this game, it really has been improved upon with more detailed graphics, realistic weapon models and more stealthy aspects to make the game cover the world of assassination more accurately. You truly do feel like a real assassin whilst playing this game.

The protagonist, known as Agent 47, will have some tasks to undertake. The main idea is that you walk your way through areas, knock out some guards, find a vantage point, assemble your rifle, look through the barrel, aim and fire at target. This might seem simple enough, but in Blood Money, the developers have gone a step further to add realism. There are always guards patrolling the areas and environments in which you are present, and if they do spot a certain dead body hidden around, they could contact their comrades in which case they will check you for weapons. The game really improves upon this. The artificial intelligence each character has is highly outstanding and clever.

Sometimes, people around your target can be aware of your distance and yell out some stuff, causing everyone to panic, in which case you'd have to make a swift escape before some angry henchmen come to your location to try and find you.

The game really look good. The character models are detailed and you won't see the same models that much. All the new stages have new locations, all that have been created with a lot of care, every single pixel placed appropriately and has a great amount of detail so it's free to explore. You can go into basements, bust your way into rooms of hotels, get into kitchens or rooftops and other ideal places.

The other great thing is that disposing bodies are much easier. Such as throwing them out of windows, dumping them in some trash cans, lock them in one of the cubicles in the toilet.

For a stealth game, the game is really fast-paced. You kill your target and the bad guys are ready to hunt you down so you need to a find another way out of exiting the building or location in which you are active in.

Hitman: Blood Money also allows you to disguise yourself with uniforms and other clothing so your permitted to certain areas.
You can also swap guns with your victims and also cause diversions to lure the bad guys out, whilst you sneak into your destination without them aware of your presence.

The game is more of a strategic stealth-based game since you need a plan to undertake your goals so it's always good to explore your location and surroundings and make sure you have secondary plans to execute if your main plan doesn't turn out to work. This makes the game more interesting and fast-paced, so your heart beats rapidly, urging you to find a way to successfully complete your mission. It also adds high replay value so there are different ways in completing the several missions featured in the game.

You won't be disappointed for the money you pay since you can either play through the entire game using stealth or just run and gun, but stealth is always better since it gives you more time to think and looks great on how you sneak up and tackle your foes. This game has a bit of all which means hand-to-hand combat as well, including the usage of melee weapons too. The combat is actually good but it takes time for 47 to attack, more realistic in other words, draining up your stamina, but using baseball bats, razors or other little basic weapons will be enough to execute your enemies in your path especially when your on the run.

There are flaws that has appeared several times in the previous Hitman games which still haven't been fixed but they are pretty minor so don't affect the main game.

For a single-player only game, Eidos and IO Interactive have achieved something that is truly outstanding. There are more good stuff in this package than the bad stuff so what are you waiting for, get this game!

The open-ended style of the missions means you can finish the game in anyway you like, using guns or not.
