Every once in a while a game comes out that is a treat to play, Hitman: Blood Money is this game.

Much like its predecessors, Hitman: BM combines elements of both stealth games and third-person shooters to create an experience that only the Hitman series can provide. Picking up after Silent Assassin, everyone favorite cloned assassin is back doing what he does best, contract killings. The game mixes it up a bit with him being pursued by the authorities and a rival organization that is eliminating 47's cloned brethren.

If this sounds familiar, it is, though its not necessarily a bad thing. Whats new though, is that 47 has a host of new moves and abilities that make each kill unique. One situation is were I had to assassinate a witness and his wife. This is complicated by the presence of the FBI in the neighborhood. In order to get to the witness I eliminated a perimeter guard and stole his uniform. I then found a box of donuts, were I stashed my pistol. A then calmly walked to the FBI truck entered, pulling out my silenced pistol and shooting him in the head. Calling the witness, I assembled my sniper rifle and shot him as he answered the phone.

This solution is just one of the many ways that I could have completed the level. This is were the game fun kicks in, finding the way to perfectly of eliminating your target is just an undeniably excellent experience that gives the game a lot of replay value.

Unfortunately, the enemy AI hasn't improved much at all. While its fine when they aren't in combat, patrolling, occasionally chatting with other guards but when combat comes along its another story. The enemy will blindly rush you with no concern for their own safety and only have a chance of killing you due to overwhelming numbers. While this isn't a prominent part of game play, it really detracts from the feeling of realism.

In the end, this is a must have game for any hitman fan and any PS2 gamer willing to put up with its punishing difficulty.
