Hitman Conracts for £10, may sound like a good deal, but you decide in this review dedicated to the £10 game
Not only were the graphics plain, the storyline was poor and the character movement was rigid and stiff. Of course this isn't a formal way to start a review, and readers of this will probs be looking for a second opinion against gamespots "professional" standing.
First off, the gameplay (for £10) is very intreging and i found myself trying to better my previous rating to get that gorgeous "silent assassin" rating, the best score that be given, on all of the stages. This gives some good replayaility for an extra five or so hours, which actually isn't alot as it only takes a few hours to know your way around the stage. The method you find to do a particular stage is the one you are gonna use the most. But for value of a tenner, this isn't so bad.
The reward system in my opinion is "unthoughtful" as you gain a new weapon for each silent assasin rating you get. The reason behind this unthoughtfulness is because the game doesn't allow guns to really be played as this affects the score gven to the end, and mindlessly killing enemies and civilians are not "satisifying". The presentation is nice, and the controls are solid, but there are some delays of action between button presses. The graphics are unimpressive except for the missions based in China, with its lighting system. But you feel as if more should of been included in here. Compares to Splinter Cell this game seriously lacks atmosphere.
Finally the game is rather linear for a stealth game, and are better stealth budgets titles out there. But if you want to play a hitman game and you can get this for a £10, then i would just recommend it, depite its faults, the main game is fun the first and second interations through, trying to descover what to do and how to do it.
