If you are a fan of the series then this is a nice pick up.

This game plays a lot like the first. Not much has changed. It is like it picked up right where the last one left off. I do not think it is worth a $50 price tag. i would wait until it hits the $20 range. Not much of a rental unless you want to sit down and play non stop until it is done because if you go for Silent Assassin on every mission it will take awhile, unless you drop the difficulty way down. It is still a fun game and some parts drag out. Like the one where you have to poison a guy's soup. You have to wait in the bathroom for about 5 minutes before he comes in. Then right after that it takes another 5 minutes to follow the guy to the railroad car and go down the track. If you get killed and didn't save after this part you want to pull your hair out. The higher the difficulty you chose the fewer saves you get. Definitely wait for the bargain bin before picking this one up. Unless of course you just love the Hitman series.
