Patience needed to succeed.

User Rating: 8.7 | Hitman: Contracts PS2
Imagine this: you're a hitman on a job and suddenly you get discovered and are shot. You stumble to a hotel, get a room and collapse in the doorway. You get flashbacks of some your past contracts while you attempt to patch yourself up and finish your job. This the story to Hitman: Contracts and fans of the series will already recognise some the missions because they come from the previous two games with some new ones thrown in.

You start off trying to escape from an Asylum surrounded by SWAT, the mission starts where the first game left off, and you get a great introduction to the controls and actions of the game.In the game you will travel around the world and get to kill several odd an varied people. There's a fat bloke called the Meat King, some posh people, several Chinese gang members and leaders, even some Russian terrorists. You get a rating at the end of each mission ranging from Mass Murderer to Silent Assassin, these depend on how many civilians and enemies were killed, number of alerts and number of shots fired.

The game is about patience otherwise you will die easily if you're dicovered by guards. The controls are quite simple to get used to but the difficulty can be a **** sometimes. The opening level is simple but newcomers might struggle. It's very easy to get discovered in the game and it can be frustrating if you're right at the end of a level and you're about to escape scotch - free (yes Beldingford Manor I'm looking at you).

If you're a patient gamer and appreciate the difficulty of a game then you'll enjoy Hitman: Contracts, otherwise you won't find a lot to interest you in this game. Although there is the shoot 'em all option...
