If you've never played any Hitman game other than Bloodmoney, don't waste your time with any of the previous Hitmans....

User Rating: 6.5 | Hitman: Contracts PS2
Gameplay: (Controls) Suck. When you run and try to stop, you do some weird "slide" thing. Your crouch just looks bad; too fast and clanky. When you're running or moving, your body always faces the direction you're looking, so it looks absolutely ridiculous. Even your tie looks stupid while running. Using weapons (especially needles, which there are not nearly enough of) is horrid, jerky and hard to use sometimes. The story is great, as always, and the plots are good too. The levels? THE LEVELS you ask? Are huge. I love that about this game. So much to explore and do. Yet, it usually ends up a waste of time. But it's still fun to find that "ghost". The AI is frustrating, to put it lightly. You so much as give a sideways look at your shoes, and the enemy is blasting caps in yer A$$. I mean it's bad, real bad. Even when you're wearing a disguise, they seem to catch on to you. This makes it a challenge though. But an extremely frustrating challenge. Graphics: Are good for what they are/where at the time. I play on a 37"LCD HD screen, and it looks decent, like 7/10 decent. It wasn't designed (like Bloodmoney [had the option]) for HD, so it looks so so on a big screen. Sound was good, I have 5.1 surround as well, and it was loud when it needed to be, and quite when it needed to be. Good sound effects for guns and explosions, music was ok too.
Value: Well, if you're a true fan of the seriess of Hitman, then you'll maybe play this 3-5 times total, I would guess. I for one will never play it again. Tilt: Whatever...
Like I said above, if you have never played this or any previous HM game, but you love Bloodmoney, or even remotely like Bloodmoney, you will more than likely be disappointed in this game. I know I am, and it's the gameplay that wrecks it for me.
