When the game was announced, I was stoked. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, but as a smart buyer I waited for some ratings to come out before I jumped into a purchase. I saw the score wasn't quite where I like games to be, for a purchase, so I held out. Eventually, I restarted my Gamefly account and at the time had forgot about Homefront even being out there, due to the failed hype THQ put into it. I was hesitant to rent the game, even, I didn't want to get the game and waste my time playing it... luckily, though, Xbox had placed the multiplayer demo on the Game Marketplace, so I immediately jumped on it. I enjoyed the demo and decided, "Why not.." When it got here, I couldn't wait to get started. The campaign was a little tougher than I expected, I'm never ready for full on contact with endless waves of enemy soldiers, and it kind of kills the single player. I wasn't ready to jump on multiplayer yet, due to my lack of skill at the game, but when I saw my friend was already online playing it, I decided to tag along and behold, the gold mine of the game. The multiplayer, just like in most games of this type, is the highpoint, easily outweighing the campaign. Little did I know, if you're decent at COD then you're going to dominate on this game. Before I knew it, my second round of online, I went 27-8. I was amazed at how easy the multiplayer was to just "pick up and play". A great multiplayer game for anyone who enjoys combat games, and I definitely recommend it to anyone.
