Better than PSone
User Rating: 8 | Hoshigami DS
The first Hoshigami on the psone was ridiculously difficult. One level difference meant the world in that game. You were forced to spend the entire time in the tower of trials doing difficult battles and if your characters died, that was it they were dead. This game smoothens the first one out. The difficulty is way lower creating a more understandable and do-able experience (you're charcters still die but this time you can revive them so they don't die for good) and in turn making the story move along a lot quicker. They replaced a charcter or two with lame, aimed towards children ones but other than that it pretty much stays true to the original well done story line. They also changed the dialogue into less mature and correct sentences to more ash catchem style sentences. But the most annoying thing (it's petty) is they replaced the cooler chique anime figures of the psone game and replaced them with lame modern ones. There sprites remain the same but Fazz and the others looked cool and not gay in the first one but in this one they look like little kids playing with swords. This game is for anyone who appreciates old school trpgs.
