This entry in the Hot shots golf franchise dosn't do anything new, but what it does do, it does very well.

But now here we are, with the 5th installment of this long-running franchise. This entry isn't very much different from the others, but it does do some things different than it's series predecessors. Item-Collecting is encouraged in this game, where you can earn clothes, accessories, clubs, balls and even hair styles for winning tournaments and match play. The ball appears big on screen, so that it's easier for the player to see. There's also an ad-hoc multiplayer mode where you can show your friends what you've earned and how you've customized your avatar. My only problem with this game, is that it dosn't support a true online mode, and if it would have been in this game, it would have been an instant classic. For me, Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee is the PSP's most purely fun game, and developers should take note to start making games more substance and not as flashy.
