If you’ve read one of my reviews before, you know that I’m usually pretty detailed when I write a review. With Hot Shots: Open Tee, I’m going to take a different approach. This one is going to be brief. You either like real life golf, or you don’t. If you don’t, you’d never even want to both picking up Tiger Woods. But either way, you might consider HS:OT because the Hot Shots series has always centered the focus on fun. It’s gold for people who just want to enjoy themselves with a fun game. It’s not for the serious enthusiast. Hot Shots: Open Tee is a game that doesn’t try to take itself too seriously. It accomplishes this goal perfectly. It’s a cartoon-like game with fabulous graphics and offbeat courses. There’s plenty to unlock, including characters, equipment, and clothing. There’s also a multiplayer feature that’s pretty cool too, though perhaps not as good as it could have been. Still, I’d even recommend this title over Tiger anyway because Tiger’s load times are just off the hook bad. Once the match starts in HS:OT, you get through the whole thing without a second load. It’s pretty well done. If you’ve played the PS2 or earlier versions of Hot Shots, this is a must have for your PSP library.
