It's a good job I got this game for free. It's what it should be worth!

I got this game free with my PS2 quite a few years back. It was released as 'Jet Ion GP' over in the UK, but was then promptly recalled from all shelves across the country for one reason:no-one was buying it! And who can blame them? There are very few vehicle choices, and absolutely no way to customise the vehicles' colours, logos or anything other than the weaponry. Speaking of the weaponry, it was shocking. Rockets that were supposed to track other vehicles fly off in a straight line. Auto-chaffs which are supposed to go off automatically when they detect a rocket (which the AI can seem to get to follow you) go off when there are no rockets and then don't go off when a rocket tracks you. There are 6 tracks in all, and the only difference between the tracks are some of the turns and the colour of the path you have to follow. Sure, at times the races are quite fun, but that fun goes away when you realise that you have to race the same 6 tracks that you've been racing on for the past half an hour, but this time they're backwards! Oh my god! How interesting! Change of scenery please?!
The game is set about 10 years in the future, when the oil has run out. Seems realistic, right? Wrong. The new way of powering vehicles is a beam of light which carries an electrical charge which powers everything in the vehicles. Reality check!
All in all, please don't waste your hard-earned money buying this terrible game. I can guarantee you'll want to sell it on within a couple of days, but even then you'll get less money.
