The lights dim, you turn up the valume, what do you get? "Hunter: The Reckoning." It was Christmas and I had gotten a total of $210. I stopped in Gamespot and thaught "Why not?" I picked out this baby, got home, and plugged it in. I still have mixed feelings about this game. It's kindof like you have a strange suspition that your girlfriend is cheating on you. I'll start with the controls. I didn't feel like I could play the game with my stupid monkey hands, (well, that's what it felt like) but I soon got used to the slightly strange controls. Then, onto the graphics. I thaught that they were pretty solid for an Xbox game. nice shining on the blood and beasts. But I don't think the cut scenes were up to par. The camera did a good job of keeping your main character in the center of the screen, but that isn't really a good thing, because for some strange reason, the creaters of the game thaught "Yeah, let's not let them be able to turn around!" But it doesn't bother me that much. (shakes tiny fists at game) And why you may ask, am I not describing the story? Because, to be totally honest, I have no idea what it is. All I know is that when some guy got executed, a bunch of zombies and other creepy things rose up from Hell and started terrorizing people. And for some reason, whenever you defeat a boss, some strange zombie/mummy/Maralyn Manson guy talks to you and tells you that you are good at killing things, but that you still suck. Overall, I thaught that this game was a fun slice and dice/shooter third person game, but overlooking it's flaws isn't easy, and they may bore you to playing with a piece of string instead.
