Hunting Unlimited 4 is a relative fun game to play but there is so little in it that it just isnt worth buying.
There are many weapons in the game. There are crossbows, double barrel shotguns, and bolt action rifles in the game, so there is a very large selections of weapons in the game. The challenges in the game is a bunch of missions you must make, and to proceed to the next page of challenges you must finish a certain amount of missions to continue. There are about 30, 40 challenges in the game. And most of them are pretty fun to play, but some of these challenges is very boring because sometimes the mission will leave you with no idea too what too do next. forcing you to boringly search the map, only to find out the animals you need to kill in the mission arent there at all. Some of the missions are run and gun, for example having a flock of buffaloes after you, and you need to kill them before they kill you. Some of the missions involve sneaking with stealth to a animal and kill it, and these mission tend to get hard sometimes which is good. The problem after you finished all of the missions is that it doesnt feel rewarding. there are no new weapons that get unlocked. and there is no new animals to kill, or vehicles. This makes the challenges in the game, feel stupid to play through. And some of the mission are stupid. like driving your ATV of a 800 meter tall cliff to kill a Animal. The challenges is overall mixed. its frustrating, its fun, its stupid. it got a little bit of everything.
After you are done with the challenges you can play Free hunt where you can play on any of the Six maps. with your favorite weapon and vehicle. and shoot at your favorite animals to kill. but it gets boring after a few hours so it isnt really worth checking out. The User mission creater is very boring so it isnt worth checking out. There are no multiplayer in the game which is shocking. So your forced to play with yourself all the time, which gets boring quickly. There is also many bugs. Animals can run up mountains, even up the most dangerous. You die very easely in this game, wild boars can kill you an instant, even Small baby animals can kill you an instant which is stupid and frustrating. if you touch the water in the game you also instantly die (Apparantly your characther forgot to take swim lessons lol). The overall gameplay in Hunting Unlimited ranges from Medicore to Good. Graphics in Hunting Unlimited isnt nice to look at. Sometimes when you look at the sun falling down in the dawn of night it can look good. but the textures in this game looks horrible, the menu makes the game look like it was made 20 years ago. The characthers faces are lifeless (They are like dolls). Animals looks fair, and some of them are a little detailed like Moose, and bear. The guns looks fairly good. but the overall impression of the graphics in the game needs a lot of work, the game just looks horrible at times. The sound isnt good either. The hunter needs to comment on everything. The most irritating is when he comments when you miss when you shot at a animal, he says "Is this gun sighted in" or " Man i need to learn how to shoot" or "Back to the training camp with me". Every single time you shoot he has to open his mouth, and it makes you want to kill the hunter in the game. Sometimes its hard to know what he says too. because he mumbles sometimes, There is also no enviromental sounds at all, there might be some bird sounds a very few times, but overall nothing. The animals is also lifeless, they wont make any sounds at all, no Bears howling, no Moose screaming no nothing. The only good thing is that the guns sounds very good. and they sound like they got some real firepower. The challenges in this game will take you only like 3 or 4 hours to complete which is pathetic. The free hunt is fun at first but it gets boring quickly. And there is no multiplayer as i said above. luckially it only costs 25 dollar. so your saved there. but still your left with a bitter taste in your mouth. You almost want to cry at how bad your decision was for your next game. but as you will see there is no User reviews. (Looks like i was the only fool that bought it hehe). If your absoulutely into Hunting games. you might want to buy it, though i feel its hard to recommend. as there is just isnt enough in the package. The Games challenges can be fun and challenging. but the many bugs and frustrating moments make it also very boring at times. The graphics isnt good at all, and it looks like it was made 4 years ago. The irritating sound which will almost make you kill yourself at times. isnt good. And that the game only has 3, four hours of gameplay at most (if you play all the missions) makes it bitter indeed, and no multiplayer!. If i were you, dont play this game.
