I-NINJA!!!!

I'll start by saying this is a solid game. Good story (it's a game, you can't expect that much), good gameplay, good fighting, good levels, cheat code if you get stuck on a mission, this game is pretty solid in all aspects.

ABOUT THE NINJA-STYLE:
Ok, I'll admit this game probably isn't as "NINJA" as other Ninja games, but it's cool. Instead of exploring dojos in the mountains of japan and fighting other Ninjas, you explore techno environments and fight these weird futuristic villains. But for basics, he's a Ninja with a sword and stars and he's pretty awesome.

So if you REEEAAALALLLYYY need an all-Ninja game, don't get this revolutionary take on the Ninja-style.

-------

The Ninja Moves: Ninja is very agile. You can run up walls, do hand-stands, run along walls, use your chain to swing around, and other stuff. Don't worry about that if you're worrying, I-Ninja has that covered.

The gameplay: you'll be fighting Ranx (The bad guyz), some nature-related enemies, and some robots. You can use your sword which counts how many kills you get and receives upgrades throughout the game. You can also use Ninja stars. You can also use fight power-ups: one where Ninja goes berserk and fights twice as powerful, one where Ninja revives his health, and the best, one where Ninja flies on a giant Ninja star and slices up the Ranx. Combat is a pretty good experience, but could have used more moves. You can attack with the sword and perform combos, throw stars, use a "spin" attack, or use the power-ups I described (If they're fully loaded.) The gameplay can be very varied; one minute you might be fighting and the next you might be rolling down a track on a giant robotic eye, or shooting at giant bugs in a turret.

The environments: the levels in the game are pretty cool. Most of them are technologically based, but there are some nature-based ones. Usually you don't interact much, but some levels let you do that very successfully, such as the fireworks factory (Haha, right now I'm thinking of that crane that lifts Ninja and carries him across the conveyor belt). The worlds are very well-designed and creatively built.

The Plot: Ninja uncovers rage stones - and the evil Emperor O-Dor is trying to get them. Not the greatest plot, but I don't expect a lot because IT'S JUST A VIDEO GAME. Other than that, you can collect grades from completing missions and challenges. You get grades so that you can advance to the next belt. There are different belts in the game that allow you to access the boss levels at the end of each world.

The difficulty: OK so the game isn't too hard, isn't too easy, but this varies through the levels. Some are easy and fun, some too hard, some annoying. The good thing is there is a cheat code you can use to complete the current mission so that one mission doesn't wreck the entire game for you.

There is some extra content, like mini-games and the battle arena where you can fight - but you need to get all the "grades" to access that.

Overall, 8/10.

I would get it, unless you read the warning at the top about Ninja-style.
