the poor hype of this game was ironic because despite being a subtle game it is one woven together with immense care.

Well known as a un-appreciated game, this has been one i have always remembered; it does a brilliant job of ensnaring your senses and engrossing you in it's woe, desperacy and ultimately, hope.
Right from the beginning the story is shrouded is mystery, you as far will have only seen glimmers of your coming to the location. And so you watch and gradually it grows on you, the cleaver subtitles will only be changed to your language preference from the strange hieroglyphics after you complete the game.. and believe me, you will replay it.
Why will you replay it? Because it isn't just a story driven game.. you'll be lost in the beauty of the environments, when you enter a dark place the lighting creates a vale of tension. When it's bright you'll always find time to admire it. The sound effects arn't too forgettable, the voice acting is believable as you can hear the fear in their voices. Yes, the game doesn't have music much but honestly, you won't notice! Just to sum it up the character design isn't bad ether and so all in all the aesthetics are all there.
But the gameplay. To me that keeps up suit with the environments, only the combat being weak but not bad because you will find the combat fits in with the as i said desperate pillar of the game *minor plot SPOILER* means you genuinely want to save your naive companion and continue. The platforming side is intuitive as you know you'll find a way to reach that ledge and you feel satisfyingly big and cleaver for doing so, with your female tagalong being less agile better bring your brain too. And just incase you're wondering yes, the co-op moves do have good context sensitivity.
So overall this game is a must buy for all typed of gamer and all will be satisfied as well.
