The definition of ellegance, charm and excitement, Ikaruga delivers excellent gameplay that innovates gaming in general.
The DreamCast port was very succesful, so the GameCube version was announced... it reached our hands and it does NOT dissapoints anyone.
The graphics are AMAZING, it packs up great estethic looks, and charm, it is a very ellegant game, not like a party game.
It takes place in a futuristic galaxy, where you become the last hope of the world against huge fleets of alien invaders, as most galaxy shooter games, it is a very hard game, you may have unlimited ammo, but your enemy has LARGE, HUGE, GARGANTUAN fleets that are after you.
It has a weird gameplay, your enemies are either dark or lighten enemies, and you are kinda both, but you can change to either side whenever you feel like doing so, so that won't be difficult to understand.
The screen often fills with a withering hail of enemy fire, and only by quickly and precisely switching between light and dark will you survive.
Ikaruga is a great game that wasn't very noticed amongst gamers, but definetly a game to be in your collection.
