Story starts out engaging and strong, but ultimately falls short of expectations.

Indigo Prophecy is a combination of a movie and a game. It's cinematic gameplay is "different", and certainly not for everyone, but is ultimately a great experience. The story in Indigo Prophecy unfolds via cinematic sequences, some uncontrollable but most with a sort of mini game button mashing sequence which is quite fun. The game starts out very strong, I was impressed with the amount of stuff you could do, but this slowly goes down the drain. It's the same way with the story too, it starts out very strong and engaging but ultimately falls short of expectations. This is by far the games biggest flaw. This is a very great game, and would deserve a higher score, but the story just turns around later on in the game with some supernatural cheesy jib jab, which is a crime because it starts out so strong. Ultimately If your'e a gamer who likes his Metal Gear Solids, Silent Hills, Final Fantasies, or any other story centered game, this game shouldn't be missed, just don't expect a great ending.
