With a gaming world easily dominated by First Person Shooters [FPS] Indigo Prophecy sheds light to gamers fed up with Shoot 'em up games. Indigo Prophecy shows all of us a great game does not have to be about shooting things, getting the most kills, or bragging rights. The entire story is based on a man named Lucas Kane and the murder he supposedly committed. In the opening sequence you see “him” kill somebody. However he claims he was possessed when the crime was committed. Travel through a never ending plot twister that will make you scratch your head, but beg for more! Not only will you see the game from Lucas Kane’s perspective, but also Carla Valenti, and Tyler Miles, the lead detectives in the murder that happened when Lucas claims he was possessed. Indigo Prophecy is so life like; it feels almost as if you are Lucas, Carla, and Tyler. This cinematic sci-fi game really hits the spot if you are looking for something new and fresh. The most realistic aspect of the game is the choices you have to make. The game will give Lucas, Carla, Tyler [you] three to four options during a scene, however you can only choose one. Not knowing the outcome, and having to deal with it afterwards. It really does make the game better, a whole lot better than if they didn’t have this incredible feature. Pick up Indigo Prophecy, and prepare to be amazed by its rich story line, wonderful game play, and perfect music! As well as a steamy shower scene with Carla Valenti after a long days work. Take it from me; it will be the best 23 seconds of your gaming life! However this is one of the reasons Indigo Prophecy is rated “M” for Mature. Blood, Partial Nudity, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, Use of Drugs and Alcohol, Violence.
In all Indigo Prophecy is extremely over looked, and not given the full credit it deserves. This is in part because of the extremely dominating force of FPS now days. So if you are ever in a game store, or just looking for a new game, pick up Indigo Prophecy. It will be the best 20 dollar investment you have made.
