It's about the same as the original Infamous, except with slightly different powers & enemies.

I absolutely loved the original Infamous. This second one, I'm very 'meh' about. While it has solid controls and combat, it mostly feels very "samey." Like a cash-in on the original with some slight tweaking here and there and nothing else. The missions and characters are about the same; the audio is definitely worse. I wander around the city and the talk of NPCs is vague or just not there, despite them moving their lips and giving out a mission. And the audio during combat seems spotty at best. The cityscape seems little changed in the end either. The ethical choice system is hackneyed. Don't get me wrong: it's still fun to shoot around the city on high wires and zap the bad guys. It's just not as exciting the second time around.
This is worth a rent or a discount buy now that's it's months after release, but just don't have high expectations going in. Otherwise, stick with the original.
