Sucker Punch has done with Infamous 2 the same thing they did with the original title. They made a great game.Again!!!!

Infamous 2 draws you into the world of Cole McGrath from the opening sequence. The action in this game can be fast and furious at times and strategy wil be needed to proceed throughout the game. The game is an action game that is also an open-world exploration game.
The game takes place in New Marais(New Orleans) as opposed to the 1st one that took place in Empire City(New York City). For those that may not have completed the 1st game I won't give away any spoilers to the game. but by the games end Cole realizes that at some point in time he will have to face "The Beast". One of this games main points is to make Cole strong enough so that he CAN take on "The Beast".
The game is a direct sequel to the 1st one and takes place not long after Infamous ends. When Cole arrives in New Marais he sees be fore him a vast city waiting to be explored. There are 200 landmarks tokens to find and 50 Hint markers to find.In a way this reminded me of Spiderman 2.Another title I throughly enjoyed. Various side quests and missions will become available as you progress through the game. Some are easy, some medium, and some JUST PLAIN HARD! There is a good balance to these missions. the same goes for the main missions.
Anyone who has played the 1st Infamous knows that Cole powers up by collecting blast shards. Same here. Also Cole could spend points to learn new moves.Same here. And he could have good intentions or evil ones. Again---same here,
This is not to say that Infamous 2 is more of the same. It has a different feel, look, style, and playability than the 1st game did.The city is "darker" than Empire City" and the effects of Katrina a few years ago can be seen in what is meant to be the lower 9th ward. There are also a lot more moves that Cole can learn.
The events of Empire City do play a minor role in this game and through Dead Drops the gamer may be reacquainted with some characters that were in Infamous. There is still a conspiracy going on and Cole will want to learn all he can about,That will mean fighting off a lot of enemies in the game. The enemies in this title are all smarter and more aggressive than in the 1st making for a much steeper challenge. And for a real challenge play the game on Hard mode. It's available at the beginning and not an "unlockable".
Sucker Punch again has done an excellent job of pairing Cole with his buddy or sidekick from the before, Zeke.Expect some Comic adventure form him. He's also a fairly good at settings up traps and inventing.
But there are TWO major ways in which this title is different than the first. There is a lot more DLC for the gamer-should you want it. A number of new weapons and moves to learn as well as some skins for the characters. For those who were upset about how Sucker Punch changed the look of Cole, download the original skin and it's like he never changed. And at under $1 the price is right. The "Festival of Blood" expansion is out on 10/23/11 but I'll not cover that here. But it does expand the game with more trophies to earn and more game content.
The second way it differs is that you can now make and post your own levels. The level editor works rather well and it is a lot of fun. Green Markers appear on the map when you are near gamer created content. There are a lot of these and to play them all will take some time. The gamer can even change or modify a level that has been done by someone else. You will now get credit for it but the original author also does. The experience that you gain doing these missions is carried over into your regular game.
This game is not perfect. It has it's flaws. Some of the controls are not perfect and I had a time when the moves were not executed the way I had played them.
But overall, Infamous is title worth looking into for hours of action enjoyment.
