Those of you who enjoyed the first game should enjoy this one even more.

User Rating: 8 | inFamous 2 PS3
inFamous 2 is one of those games for people who liked the first game. It doesn't try to appeal to those who liked the first game and to those who didn't at the first time. It is because of this inFamous 2 is a better game than the first game.

Game play, 9. For those of you who didn't play the first, let me explain the general premises of this game. It is basically a sandbox game where you have choices between good and evil. The choices you make have a much more significant impact in this game than it did in the first one. The choices this time are much different wheres in the first game they were very similar. You also get different powers from different karma. You don't have to stick to the main story line in inFamous 2. You can go around doing side-quests. This is quite standard for a sandbox game. You can also play online-made missions. This extends the life of the game rather nicely.

inFamous 2 is a lot less repetitive than its predecessor. There is a larger variety of enemies, New Marias (basically New Orleans) is a lot more colorful and varied than Empire City (New York City), and there's even more powers. The two endings are also very different from one another. They are not mere variations of each other.

My only complaint is sometimes it can cheap.

Presentation, 7. The graphics are decent; nothing particularly impressive about them. The sound track and sound effects are decent as well. I liked the comic book cut-scenes.

Value, 8. inFamous 2 will take you twelve to fifteen hours to beat depending on how much you focus on the side missions. The community made missions extend the game's life. If you really enjoyed the main part of the game it's worth a second play through to see that other ending you didn't see.

PROS
Great combat
Choice between good and evil feels more distinguished
CONS
Still some hiccups in the game

If you liked the first game then I recommend this game strongly. Anyone who enjoys sandbox games in general has a good chance of enjoying this game. For those of you who, for whatever reason, didn't care for the first game, I wouldn't recommend this one then.
