Unleash power and wreak havoc how you decide.
The gameplay in Infamous is intensifying and brilliant, with different super hero powers which are creative and fun to use. All the powers are based on electricity, as early in the game you achieve the power to shoot electrical bolts from your hands. As the game progresses you soon discover new powers to wield and use.
In Infamous you can be the hero; who protects the city and its civlians, trying to prevent the destruction, or you can be evil; wreak havoc and kill anyone or blow anything up you wish.
All powers are upgradeable and have three stages. Each new time you choose to make an unlock, the power is either increased in damage or effectiveness. Besides powers, there is also abilities such as riding the rails or gliding. These are fun to have and use, and it is a quick and effective way of getting around the city faster.
The story is quite good, with some interesting main missions and side missions to complete and the twist at the end of the plot is unexpected. Cutscenes are also done in a comic way. This may seem weird but it is effective the way it is done.
The graphics are good, with a dark look to the city as every new day more chaos and destruction erupts around Cole (the main protagonist). Cole is an interesting character. He is quite mysterious and at first maybe a little boring to be, but as the game progresses and the plot develops you become to like him more.
Bad Points to note is that with the exception of Cole, characters seems fairly boring and are not very interesting to talk to or interact with, and their are some glitches with objects in the environment to interact with.
However Infamous is a great open world game which will keep you hooked, and offer hours of great action packed fun.
Good Points: Gameplay is intensifying, Great variety of powers and abilities, Plenty of freedom to do what you want, Good upgrade system, Cole is good protagonist, Cool artistic cutscene design, great visuals, interesting story.
Bad Points: Characters (besides Cole) are boring, some visual blemishes with objects in the environment to interact with.
