Best Hero game to date

User Rating: 9.5 | inFamous PS3
At first thought to myself "Oh great... another superhero game"; however, due to the amount of publicity (And the in-game footage) I decided to check it out.

I waited until there was an online review readily available, I watched it; along with the the video review, I read the all-text review as well to help me with my choice. I decided to get the game after reading the review.

The first thing I did when I got home from my local Gamestop was put the game in the PS3, the install took about 2 minutes (Thank god), I was expecting a longer install to be perfectly honest. After the install was complete, I started up the game... and began the marvel of one of the best (if not the best) sandbox hero games to date. I was watching the opening FMV, which by the way is all 3d comic style, when I found myself questioning right off the bat what was happening. The game is VERY immersive even at first glance.

However, there are some bugs and defects that can be pretty annoying:
- You grab EVERY ledge when you jump (Can be annoying when trying to jump clear off a building)
- There is some popping (Trees and cars will appear from nowhere... it will never really screw you over, but it can be pretty annoying)
- Aiming is difficult from time to time (There is no lock-on... just free aim and shoot)
- Not the best graphics the ps3 has to offer (But good especially for what the game delivers)

Aside from those points this game is a sheer thrill. Whether you're gliding along power lines, throwing enemies off buildings, or doing side missions it doesn't really feel as though you've done all of this before; it comes alive as being new and fresh... always leaving you wanting to play it more to find out the story (And of course to throw people off buildings).

You gain electric powers back by draining it from a nearby electrical object (Such as a light, a car, etc. etc.); draining them also refills your health as well. The fun thing with draining lights is once you drain the electrical current, you can recharge it with your free electrical move (Drains no electrical power).

The city is just plain fun, from being cold-hearted and having pedestrians throw rocks at you; to being a hero and having people cheer you in the streets and revel your name in glory.

No matter which path you decide to do... it's a blast!

I haven't been playing the game for too long (probably about 15 hours), however, I've done maybe 5 or 6 missions (It really is that fun to roam around messing with people and beating up baddies). All the hype behind this game actually lived up to it's supposed greatness; this is a MUST own Ps3 exclusive you'll come to enjoy for months upon months.
