InFAMOUS is imphamous
Gameplay is fun, you will enjoy it quite a bit. Running through the streets and taking on reapers is great to do with your powers. Jumping across roof-tops will also keep you having much fun.
The story is pretty good, enough to keep you interested in playing through and seeing what will happen next. Missions and side missions are scattered everywhere. At times when you are going through the streets(depending on your rating) you'll have people running up to you telling you about things going on close by, always giving you something to do. After completing these missions you'll be awarded with XP which you can put towards purchasing upgrades to your powers. Some powers can only be bought by having a certain rating. It's a good way to have a person play through again from the opposite perspective. The controls are good and easy to use and your powers dont get repetitive at all.
Graphics are good in my opinion. Cole looks great running through the city and it looks like a live comic book. The cinematics were a part that I thought would take me off of liking the game. Yet, I was wrong. In fact, they are very interesting and also have a 3D-Comic book feel to them.
No online play, but who cares. You still get your money's worth with this game and how much you are going to be playing it. The trophies arent incredibly difficult to get. So, all you trophy whores, this is a good game for you.
Bad things. Well there arent too many, but this game didnt get a 10 so somethings got to be wrong with it right? Well, yes, there are some minor glitches. With the open world being so massive there is alot of pop ups and outs that seem a little too much. I guess you could say Cole grabs on more things than a pedophile can get annoying. Yet, it wont cut in to the enjoyment of this game.
Overall, if you have a PS3, you need to get this game. Especially, if you enjoy action and adventure. Although alot of people say it is an RPG, dont be turned off if you arent into those types of games. It has something for everyone. This is the second PS3 exclusive that I never even planned on getting but ended up doing after all and not regretting it. This game impressed me into buying it, and impressed me even more after I got it. All I am saying is the least you could do is rent it. Yet, then you only get this gave you could've enjoyed for a while, for a week. 9.5 out of 10 from me.
