Great game. Definitely worth a look...
The story is great but I don't want to reveal much (If you really want to know send me a message and I'll explain a bit more). The game-play is the most important aspect though. The controls on Infamous are really streamlined and simple to pick-up. Cole is really agile, and really fast. Climbing and free-running is rally easy, because you just have to press X in the direction of what you want to grab things, and O to drop. Plus, your new-found powers really help you move:
You can fall from any height and not get hurt, you can grind wires and train tracks, and also glide pretty far.
Fighting is really fun, and the enemies are pretty hard later on in the game. Your electrical superpowers range from a simple electric shock, to lighting coming down from the sky and wreaking havoc on everything in its path. One ability is called the 'Megawatt Hammer', a missile attack that really leaves a mark. It can be upgraded so that it can be re-directed at a target behind cover(all you have to do is fire the missile, and shoot a lightning bolt at your target. I actually managed to kill myself in the middle of a fight that way). Later powers include a shield, that can recharge your energy by taking enemy shots. It can even be used while gliding, climbing or grinding.
A really important thing I haven't talked about, is the karma features. If you've read any of the previews on Gamespot, you can be good or evil, and this changes throughout the game. There are three different ranks for each one:
Evil: Thug, Outlaw, Infamous
Good: Guardian, Champion, Hero
These ranks really change the game (the cut-scenes change as well, but not so drastically it affects the story). If you are good, people will like you and thank you, police will help you fight enemies and side missions change as well. If you are evil, people throw things at you and police shoot at you. Your powers also change. Good powers are more accurate and decisive, but evil powers are more destructive. These ranks are decided through 'Karmic Moments' which have you making decisions like saving your girlfriend, or six doctors.
Overall, InFamous is an amzing game and the story is intriguing enough to have you enticed for hours on end.
