INSIDE

I am speechless after playing this game. I finished it two weeks ago and still can't quite come up with the sufficiently adequate words to thoroughly describe the experience. I thought with it being a 2D puzzle-platformer like Limbo that the games would be somewhat similar, truth is that's about the ONLY similarity. Inside's creator, Playdead, could have rested on its laurels and gone through the motions for a successor to it's critically acclaimed first game, but instead chose to make an equally powerful game as Limbo. What happens in Inside is simply indescribable, for different reasons than Limbo....but not worse, or better reasons...it's just a different experience. Limbo was emotionally heart-wrenching, Inside is shockingly gut-wrenching. I can't remember how many times I exclaimed "Holy shit!" while playing this game. And when the astonishing ending was over and the music began to play I just let it sit there for an hour or two because I was so moved by what I just witnessed. I would recommend that if you haven't played Limbo, play it, then immediately play Inside...this is a two-punch combo that should NOT be missed.
