Poor effort. Except for the action cam, it seems to be a direct port of Ashes 09 !
FIrst I would like to talk about the positive aspect of this game. The action cam is a welcome addition and CodeMasters have done a great job by tweaking the difficulty. There had been several complaints previously saying that the game was too easy. However, that issue has been finally addressed as batting on hard difficulty with the action cam on is pretty challenging. If one is still not satisfied, one can even turn off the HUD which makes batting and bowling very difficult and almost next to impossible.
However, the gameplay experience has been really frustrating for people who wish to play it online. The game has frequent disconnection issues, specially reported when a person hits a lofted shot or a 6 during an online match. Several people have reported this issue to CodeMasters and have requested for a patch but to no avail.
The players are still not licensed (except for the Australian and English squad) although there is a 'played editor' option in the menu from which we can change the names of the players. Unfortunately, these changes will only work during the single player and not when playing online.
The tutorials are very varied and do help in getting accustomed to the game. However, the actual gameplay is exactly the same as Ashes 09 with the only change being the addition of the Action Cam.
If you have already played Ashes 09, then I would not recommend you to buy this game since there really isn't anything much to look out for. The Action Cam is definitely interesting but will not hold your attention for more than 1-2 weeks.
